Portugal Clean and Safe Stamp

The Algarve and Portugal in general has been less affected than most European countries by the terrible Corona Virus Pandemic and looks to be one of the first to bounce back.

The government is inviting tourism businesses to apply for the new “Clean and Safe” stamp showing tourists that they adhere to hygiene protocols that are directly aimed at controlling and preventing Corona Virus / Covid-19.

The stamps are optional and valid for 12 months, to display them the company must implement the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health and follow the strict protocol designed to reassure visitors.

The protocols range from staff training measures to cleaning and disinfection regimes, social distancing between staff and having a place where people displaying possible symptoms of Covid-19 can isolate.

The stamp will be supported by random audit that will ensure protocols are being adhered to.
